I provide a judgment-free space for you to explore what's holding you back. Together we can take a gentle look at issues that can be hard to talk about and find a path forward to living your best life.
In the first session, we will get to know each other. We'll explore the reasons you are seeking therapy, and begin to dive into what might help build or restore the balance we all seek. We will choose a few targets to work on to get started. In the following sessions, we will develop a plan for getting from here to where you want to be. We will check in regularly to see if we are on track, and make adjustments as necessary.
The treatment methods I use will vary depending on what you are looking for. If you have an immediate problem to solve we will focus on immediate solutions. I have over two decades of experience with Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused strategies.
My strengths include understanding and acceptance of life-long struggles such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar and other mood disorders, complicated grief and trauma work. I understand substance use as an effective coping skill that can be effective in the moment but cause problems in the long run.
