Hello! My name is Lisa Espinoza and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Central California. I like to encourage clients that no matter what they feel or their circumstances, they can improve their lives with the right support and tools. I have been in the mental health field for 16 years working with both adults and adolescents. I have worked in several settings over the years including inpatient and outpatient mental/behavioral health, and corrections and education. I want to be an encouragement to people who have lost hope that life can be any better. I enjoy seeing my clients thrive and make progress no matter how big or small.
The first session is all about getting to know my client and my client getting to know me. I want to set a foundation for trust and comfort so that they can be as open and invested in working together. My goal is to provide a safe and comforting space for my clients.
My approach is to be supportive and bring out the best in my clients while pushing them toward their goals with open and honest feedback. Having worked in this field for 16 years, I have seen the need for empathetic and compassionate professionals. I pride myself in walking alongside my clients as they face life's ups and downs.
I can best serve clients that are open to and willing to take the necessary steps to make improvements in their lives. If they are willing to work with me to cultivate the qualities and strengths they have within them, they are clients I can work with.
I allow you to set the stage for what you need in your life. I work with you based on your strengths and current resources. I will provide support as you navigate your surroundings and best utilize the coping tools I provide. Together we can work toward a solution that fits your circumstances.
I believe in working together to set goals but also allowing you to determine what goal is most important and most attainable in our time together. I will provide exercises you can engage in to improve your thought life, better manage your emotions, and overall build confidence for communicating your needs.
