(she/her)
Hello, I’m Maureen! Are you unhappy with your life direction? Struggling with transitions, relationships or self-esteem? I help adults of all ages to solidify life goals, learn new skills for managing anxiety or depression, and find more life satisfaction. We’ll start by getting to know each other to see if we work well together. I'll use a collaborative approach to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs, and we'll meet on a frequency that works for you. My communication style is informal, warm and direct. I create a safe and accepting space so that you can feel comfortable talking with me about anything. I listen with empathy and without judgment. We will explore who you are and what brought you to this point in your life. We will work together to uncover and strengthen your sense of self and find ways for you to live more fully and authentically in your daily life and relationships.
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and see if we will work well together. I will ask questions to learn what brings you to therapy and this time and what you're hoping to accomplish. It is generally a conversational session that helps us identify goals create a plan for where to go next.
I work with adults of all ages who are experiencing stress, anxiety or depression as they work to adjust to a new life situation. This may include starting or ending school or a job, entering a new relationship or wanting to improve an old one, finding yourself in a new phase of life, facing an unexpected curveball, or simply desiring more satisfaction and fulfillment as you live each day. In addition, I have extensive experience with issues related to the stress that comes with parenting, health issues, aging, caregiving and end-of-life.
Anyone trying to figure out life direction, relationship challenges, and how to be more comfortable and accepting of who you are.
