Do you find you feel less productive, lacking in motivation, and can't find that "get up and go"? Do those around you see you as irritable and indecisive? Is it easier to tell the world what you don't like about yourself or what you can't do than the strengths you have? Is it difficult to care for yourself never mind the children, a home, go to a job, be the breadwinner?? I help individuals find their inner strengths and develop the tools that once worked to help them be all that they can be. Starting where you are at in therapy is crucial to your success and filling your toolbox with tools you can use for a lifetime helps you to see how your thoughts influence your feelings and thus your actions.
First session
The initial session is a foundation session, developing an initial therapeutic comfort level, discussing confidentiality, individual expectations for therapy, frequency of sessions, and administrative issues.
Strengths
I have worked in the business of mental health for many years and feel giving people hope when they feel there is none is a strength of mine, I have worked with children and adults as well as specialty contracts with employee assistance and veterans.
