Hello. I'm Chris Collins! Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing. Change is inevitable. Whether transitions are planned or sudden, they can create feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, or sadness. I’m here to partner with you to navigate your thoughts and feelings during stressful times by creating a compassionate, judgement-free environment for exploration. While my goal is to tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of my client, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work through feelings of anxiety and depression associated with life changes. As an LGBTQIA+ ally, I strive to provide an inclusive, safe space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. For your convenience and to reduce barriers to receiving services, I provide online services only. Seeking therapy can seem daunting, but I am here to demystify the process and empower you to work towards being the best version of you, as defined BY YOU.
My goal is to empower you to move forward towards the goals that you choose. I see my job as to collaborate with you to help you in the direction of your choosing. If you're stuck, no worries! I can help guide you towards the tools to help you choose the path that is best for you.
I utilize different methods based on the needs and goals of my clients. I gravitate towards strategies from behavioral therapies (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to help you explore the interconnection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
I feel my biggest strengths as a clinician is my ability to connect with my clients as well as honoring the unique goals and backgrounds of those that I work with.
