Hi! I've been a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for over 6 years and an RN for 12 years. I also have a background in Nursing Education. As an RN I worked predominantly in pediatrics and in non profit organizations. I also have done school nursing. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner I've worked in numerous settings including but not limited to telehealth, outpatient mental health clinics, FQHC, on numerous ACT teams and private practice. I've worked with people throughout the lifespan and love helping others. I'm an advocate for helping people improve their mental health, quality of life and wellbeing.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

I've treated people across the mental health continuum. I've also worked with people who often have numerous co-occurring disorders. I specialize in treating numerous mental health conditions such as but not limited to depression, anxiety, ADHD, panic disorder, mood disorder.
I strive to understand people holistically, taking into account each individual person's unique qualities, history, life, values, beliefs and recognize the importance of individuality, what is important to each individual and recognize each individual has their own unique goals and aspirations.
A goal of CBT would be to realize that as humans we can't control every aspect of the world around us, we can however try to take control of how we interpret and deal with things in the environment. Compassion focused therapy can help people focus on how to be more compassionate toward themselves.
Mindfulness-based therapy is a type of psychotherapy that incorporates mindfulness practices that include present moment awareness, meditation, and breathing exercises
