I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker helping high-functioning individuals who are struggling with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and urges or patterns that feel difficult to control. On the outside, many of my clients appear successful, capable, and put together, yet internally they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. You may find yourself overthinking, second-guessing decisions, or managing behaviors that create stress in your relationships or daily life. I specialize in working with individuals who are ready to move beyond surface-level conversations and are looking for real, lasting change. This includes those navigating emotional intensity, impulsivity, compulsive patterns, or internal conflict between who they are and how they are showing up. My approach is structured, direct, and results-focused, designed to help you gain clarity, improve emotional control, and develop a stronger sense of self. In our work together, we will identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, understand the underlying drivers behind your thoughts and behaviors, and implement practical strategies to help you regain control and move forward. This is not passive therapy. It is an active, collaborative process focused on insight, accountability, and meaningful progress. Many clients begin to experience increased awareness, stability, and confidence as they learn how to navigate their thoughts, emotions, and relationships more effectively. If you are ready to better understand yourself, take control of patterns that no longer serve you, and create lasting change, this work is designed to support you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is focused on understanding you clearly and efficiently. We will explore what is bringing you in, including anxiety, trauma, relational stress, or patterns and urges that feel difficult to control. I will ask direct, thoughtful questions to identify what is actually driving your current challenges rather than staying surface level. You can expect a structured and collaborative approach where we begin identifying patterns, triggers, and underlying dynamics early on. I will also help you understand how therapy will work, what progress looks like, and what we will focus on moving forward. Many clients report feeling a sense of clarity and direction even after the first session. The goal is not just to talk, but to begin creating a clear path toward meaningful and lasting change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is direct, structured, and focused on results. I specialize in anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and urges, impulsivity, and compulsive behaviors that impact relationships, decision making, and self-control. I help clients understand not just what they are feeling, but why patterns continue and how to change them. What stands out is my ability to quickly identify core patterns, reduce shame, and create a clear, actionable path forward. Clients often come in feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or conflicted and begin to experience increased clarity, control, and stability through our work. I have successfully supported high distress professionals and veterans in gaining insight, improving emotional regulation, strengthening relationships, and making decisions with greater confidence. This is not passive therapy. It is focused, intentional work designed to create real change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with high-functioning individuals who are managing significant internal distress despite appearing capable and successful on the outside. Many of my clients are professionals, veterans, or individuals who carry a high level of responsibility and are used to pushing through challenges without fully addressing what is happening internally. Clients often come to me with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and urges or patterns that feel difficult to control. This may include overthinking, emotional reactivity, impulsivity, compulsive behaviors, or patterns that are negatively impacting their relationships, decision making, or sense of self. There is often an internal conflict where part of them feels in control while another part does not, leading to frustration, confusion, and emotional exhaustion. I work best with individuals who are ready to move beyond surface level conversations and are looking for clarity, structure, and real change. Many have tried therapy before or have spent time thinking through their challenges on their own but still feel stuck. They are motivated to understand themselves more deeply and are open to a direct, results focused approach. My clients are often seeking to improve emotional regulation, gain control over patterns and behaviors, strengthen their relationships, and develop a clearer sense of direction. They want to feel more grounded, confident in their decisions, and aligned in how they show up in their lives. This work is especially effective for those willing to engage in a focused, intentional process to create lasting, meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a structured, practical, and results-focused way to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Many individuals I work with struggle with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and urges or patterns that feel difficult to control. CBT allows us to identify the specific thought patterns and internal narratives that are driving distress, impulsivity, or disconnection. Rather than staying at the surface, I help clients break down these patterns in real time. We examine how certain beliefs, assumptions, and automatic thoughts contribute to emotional reactions and behaviors that may not align with who they want to be. From there, we actively work on reframing these patterns, strengthening emotional regulation, and building more effective responses. My approach to CBT is direct and collaborative. Clients are not just talking about problems but learning how to respond differently to them. This includes developing awareness, practicing new ways of thinking, and implementing practical strategies that lead to measurable change. CBT is especially effective for clients who want clarity, structure, and a clear path forward. The goal is to help you gain control over patterns that feel automatic, improve decision making, and create lasting changes in how you think, feel, and act.

Compassion Focused

I incorporate Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to help clients reduce shame, self-criticism, and internal conflict, especially when dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and urges or behaviors that feel difficult to control. Many high-functioning individuals I work with are hard on themselves, constantly analyzing, judging, or trying to “fix” their thoughts and emotions, which often reinforces the very patterns they want to change. CFT helps us understand how your brain has been shaped by past experiences, stress, and survival patterns. Rather than viewing your reactions as flaws, we begin to see them as learned responses that can be understood and reshaped. This shift reduces shame and creates space for change. My approach is structured and intentional. We actively work on developing a more balanced and supportive internal dialogue while still maintaining accountability and progress. Compassion is not about avoiding responsibility. It is about creating the internal conditions necessary for sustainable change. This approach is especially effective for clients who feel stuck in cycles of self-criticism, guilt, or frustration. By strengthening self-awareness and self-compassion, clients are better able to regulate emotions, reduce impulsive or reactive behaviors, and move forward with greater clarity, control, and confidence.

Eclectic

I use an eclectic approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based methods such as CBT, trauma-informed care, and compassion-focused work to meet each client’s specific needs. Many individuals I work with are high functioning but feel stuck in patterns involving anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or urges and behaviors that feel difficult to control. A single approach is often not enough to address the complexity of these experiences. My work is structured, intentional, and tailored. We focus on identifying the patterns driving your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while using the most effective tools to create change. This may include cognitive restructuring, emotional processing, behavioral strategies, and practical skill building depending on what is most relevant to you. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, I adapt the work in real time to ensure it remains effective and results focused. Clients benefit from a flexible yet grounded approach that allows for deeper insight while also prioritizing clear, actionable progress. This approach is especially effective for individuals who have tried therapy before but did not feel it fully addressed their needs. The goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen emotional control, and create lasting change using strategies that are both practical and sustainable.

Humanistic

I incorporate a humanistic approach to therapy that focuses on understanding you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Many high functioning individuals I work with feel disconnected from themselves, their emotions, or their sense of direction, especially when dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or patterns and urges that feel difficult to control. This approach creates a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Rather than focusing only on what needs to change, we also focus on understanding who you are, what you value, and how you want to show up in your life and relationships. My style remains structured and intentional while maintaining empathy and authenticity. We work to increase self awareness, strengthen your connection to your internal experience, and build a clearer sense of identity and direction. This foundation supports meaningful and lasting change. Humanistic work is especially effective for clients who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of themselves despite functioning well in other areas. The goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, build confidence in your decisions, and move forward in a way that feels aligned and sustainable.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation as a core part of treatment to help clients clearly understand what they are experiencing and why. Many high functioning individuals struggle with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, or urges and behaviors that feel confusing or out of control. Without understanding the underlying mechanisms, it is easy to feel stuck or frustrated. Psychoeducation provides a clear framework for how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and brain-based responses interact. I explain concepts in a direct, practical way so you can make sense of your patterns rather than feeling overwhelmed by them. This includes understanding triggers, nervous system responses, habit loops, and the impact of past experiences on current functioning. My approach is structured and results focused. Insight alone is not enough. We use this understanding to guide targeted strategies that improve emotional regulation, decision making, and behavioral control. This approach is especially effective for clients who want clarity and a deeper understanding of themselves. When you understand what is happening internally, you are better able to respond with intention, reduce confusion, and create lasting change.
