¡Hola y bienvenidos! I'm Rebeca Salazar, a Licensed Professional Counselor offering telehealth services to individuals aged 13 and above, as well as parents with children ages 3-7. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and I'm passionate about helping people navigate through challenges and find solutions. My focus is on providing support to individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and life adjustments. I specialize in offering counseling services to college students, helping them navigate academic and personal challenges. Additionally, I bring extensive expertise on working with children and their caregivers.

We'll spend some time talking about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any specific goals or expectations you may have. This is your time to express yourself, there's no judgment here. You're in control of what you choose to share, and we'll work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I believe some of my strengths as a provider are that I have worked with a broad range of clients including children, caregivers, and adults. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a an evidence based therapeutic approach that is widely used. I have been using CBT to help clients ages 15 and up. It focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. CBT is highly adaptable and can be applied to various mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, phobias, and stress.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered, collaborative counseling style designed to help individuals explore and resolve ambivalence about behavior change. As a counselor, I am a facilitator who works together with a client to explore their feelings, motivations, and barriers to change.

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation is an essential component of mental health care, as it helps clients better understand their condition, treatment options, and how to cope with challenges. I provide clients with understanding the underlying factors of their mental health, develop coping strategies, and learn practical tools to improve their well-being
