Sometimes we feel ready to "do the work," but might feel uncertain about where to start. I work in this field because I believe we are capable of making tremendous changes when we understand ourselves better. I believe in empowering you to gain a sense of control and purpose in your life. I come from a multicultural immigrant background, and am thus interested in how you describe yourself in your own words. My style is to support you in connecting your head and your heart to help you gain clarity on your current concerns. With this clarity, you can begin to take intentional steps toward healing and creating the life you want.
During our intake session, we will focus on parts of your background and which life circumstances have brought you to therapy. From there, we can narrow down the goals you want to set towards your healing and discuss how we can get you there. However, change does not happen rapidly or overnight. I encourage you to be gentle with yourself as you navigate your journey towards feeling whole again.
It is an honor to be able to provide therapy. My strength is that this belief guides me in seeking out ongoing training and consultation to ensure that I am giving you my best in sessions.
I am happy to partner with you to support you through various issues, including but not limited to relationship issues, workplace stress, self-esteem challenges, infidelity, and life transitions. You have the right to feel at peace in your head, heart, and body, and be connected to all of these aspects when you make decisions for yourself. Additionally, one of my clinical niches is working with survivors of narcissistic abuse, a form of trauma that often leaves individuals feeling confused, unheard, and disconnected from their sense of self. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy to gently guide you through the process of healing. I believe that survivors deserve to feel safe, understood, and whole again. Recovery from narcissistic abuse isn't just possible—it’s your right. You deserve to reclaim your voice and rebuild a life grounded in authenticity and self-respect.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
By identifying cognitive distortions and negative thought patterns, I help my clients replace them with more helpful thinking. This process often leads to improvements in both emotions and behavior. The structured approach of CBT fosters opportunities to challenge unhelpful thoughts, reframe them, and develop healthier ways of coping with difficult emotions.
