My therapeutic style is based on my belief that we all have a right to self-determination. I come from a position of unconditional, positive regard with a varied approach working with clients from a humanistic and strengths-based approach with a solution-focused perspective. I believe in starting where my client has the most concerns and am passionate about helping others. My work reflects this compassion through my non-judgmental, empathetic, often humorous, patient, and laidback approach. I want this to be a calming and helpful journey for you. Together, we can work to find solutions to those stressors you face individually through support, reframing, and mindfulness. My goal is to provide you a space that makes you feel supported and safe in exploring those aspects of your life that affect your success and enrichment.
In our initial session, I will be learning about you and working with you to identify your strengths and resources, areas you feel you want to work on, and mapping out a plan to make our time together a productive one full of positive changes and growth. I I welcome and encourage feedback from my clients to ensure they feel they are achieving success and that they agree with the work we are doing together. I am very supportive of your needs and expertise in what works for you. Our relationship is completely collaborative and open to your input.
I practice from evidence-based approaches and have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), grief and bereavement, and solution-focused therapies.
I work primarily with high-functioning adult clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, career concerns, LGBTQIA+ issues, and family and relationship issues.
I work with any adult seeking to improve their quality of life and functioning based off specific concerns they bring that may be hindering their growth and potential. Primarily, I work with LGBTQI+ and non-binary groups. I am also allied with polyamorous, kink, and open relationship populations.
