Hi there! My name is Madolyn, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Nashville, Tennessee. It's a big deal to look for help! Trusting another person to help make you or your child better is a huge leap, and it is a privilege I do not take for granted. I received my Master's in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and my Bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. I have worked in social work for 10 years, and have been a practicing clinician for 5 years. I love serving the younger population as they make sense of their world!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Believe me, I know how easy it is to talk yourself out of taking this leap. I work to provide a warm, nonjudgmental environment that prioritizes building trust - even for the ones who don't like to trust people. Our first session is designed to feel like getting coffee with someone who is excited to hear your story. We'll make goals together and work on building the life you want to live!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My gift is connection. I am trained in matching the energy and the vibe you give to make sure you are comfortably pacing toward your goal. Sessions with me should feel like a walk around a park with a trusted friend - perhaps a little hilly at times, but leave you feeling refreshed, energized, and seen!

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you trying your hardest to fix things on your own but still not seeing improvement? Is your child shutting down, acting out, or exhibiting behaviors that are a cry for help? Are you struggling with a life transition and just need someone to trust while you try to work it out? I specialize in working with children, teens, and young adults. I want to help you conquer the world you live in, make the changes necessary to get there, and help you feel safe and secure knowing you are not alone in handling it all. I provide a client-centered approach, which means that I like to meet you in whatever stage of change you're in and I listen when you say you don't feel comfortable getting into stuff quite yet. I am well-equipped to work with adolescents, teenagers, and college-age students. I also am happy to provide family therapy to help the client and family unit thrive. I spent 4 years working as a subcontractor of the State of Tennessee training and approving Foster Parents for a trauma-informed level of care. My passion is serving the populations that are traditionally underserved (children, minorities, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, trauma survivors, etc). In clinical settings, I have served children ages 3-22 in all settings of crisis, stress, and life changes! My experience includes Anxiety, Attachment, Autism, ADHD, Abuse, Crisis Management, Defiance, Depression, Family Dynamics, Lack of Coping Skills, Life Transitions, Stress, and Trauma. (basically, you can't scare me away!)
