I came into therapy worried that it would take me numerous times to find the right therapist, but Deborah Ramirez was my first ever therapist and she stood out to me instantly with how much she understands me. I love that she is solution oriented and helps me stay on track with conversations when my A.D.D likes to take over and talk about a hundred different topics at the same time. She actively listens and provides support and understanding.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I take a flexible and integrative approach to therapy which means that I integrate therapy interventions form several evidenced based treatment approaches in order to personalize and individualize treatment for my client’s needs and experience.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Most people do not realize how much power their thoughts have on their emotions. With use of CBT I support my clients to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and negative core beliefs which perpetuate and exacerbate fear, anxiety and low self-worth. I work with my clients to develop healthy coping strategies, problem solving to change unhelpful behaviors in order to improve their ability to experience relief from their symptoms and improve their wellbeing.

Narrative

I use Narrative Therapy to support client with exploring the stories they tell about their life and experiences. We explore the how your narrative influences your identify and work to reframe problematic narratives, developing ability to focus on narratives that align with your values and strengths and goals.

Christian Counseling

For client’s who communicate their desire to have their faith utilized in therapy, I take a Christian Counseling approach to integrate their Christian values and beliefs as we address the challenges that bring you to therapy.
