LPC, 3 years of experience
My therapeutic goal is to help people learn to help themselves. I am a licensed therapist in Texas, working with individuals of all ages, with specialized expertise in supporting children, adolescents, and teens. Before becoming a Nationally Certified LPC, I spent 15 years as an Elementary School Teacher across multiple K–12 campuses and later served as a K–12 School Counselor. I believe that you are the expert of your own story, and that you already carry strengths that can help you navigate the challenges you face. Taking the first step to begin therapy takes courage, and I’m proud of you for being here and getting started.
When I meet with my clients I like to get some background information and work with them to decide with the client when their goal is for counseling. When Working with Children I like the parent to begin the first session with me so the child is more comfortable and we can build some rapport.
I have experience in helping clients with motivation, self-esteem, depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, coping with grief and addiction, parenting issues, career difficulties, and confidence. I have experience with Intellectual disabilities, Obessesive Compulsions and OCD, self Harm, Young Adult Issues, children and Teen counseling, Anti Social Personalities, Avoidant Personality, Blended families, Codependency, and life stages and changes.
All of my adult career has revolved around children and adolescents, as a Teacher, School Counselor, and licensed Practicing Counselor. This puts me at a higher advantage in working with children and adolescents.
I believe all individuals posses the qualities they need to flourish so they reach their fully potential.
