My professional interests include psychoses, dissociative disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, and narcissistic abuse. As a bilingual and bi-cultural therapist, I am especially sensitive to cultural issues and can provide therapy in Korean. I can also address spiritual and religious issues in treatment. Your brain is like a muscle and therapy is like exercise for your brain. Sessions with me will not always feel comfortable because growth requires discomfort. But I provide a safe emotional space to feel and explore that discomfort and help you get more comfortable with being uncomfortable which is what helps you grow.
Generally speaking, my approach is relational, focusing on empowering you. I am also trained in exposure therapy to treat trauma.
Population-wise, my niche includes Korean speakers, Asians, immigrants, health care workers, and creatives. I especially love helping empathic people who have difficulty setting boundaries and often feel used by other people develop a stronger sense of self and learn assertive communication skills.
