Hi my name is Sue Stiles, LCSW. I have been a licensed Social Worker for 32 years working with people of all ages. I love helping people renew their mind in an area that is difficult for them.
First session
We will dive into challenges that the client is facing and develop some goals to help the client feel better. I use worksheets & analogies to help the client have new thoughts on subjects that are distressing.
Strengths
I can connect with almost anyone in a short period of time. I really love people and helping them conquer their fears & face life’s challenges with more confidence.
Ideal clients
I have lots of experience working with adults both young and old. I like helping people manage life’s transitions.
Treatment methods
Christian Counseling
Could pray for clients before and/or during session depending on their comfort. Can discuss issues with how spiritual health and mental health work together. Can answer questions about faith and process bad church experiences.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Uses CBT in session & homework assignments as needed to support treatment between sessions
Faith-based therapy
Lots of experience with toxic faith issues that have created problems for people
Grief Therapy
Have worked in Hospice for many years. Assisted people with their grief journey and with prolonged grief.
Motivational Interviewing
Committed to exploring what areas people are motivated to change & focusing on those areas.
