New to Grow
believe healing is not about fixing what is “wrong,” but about building a kinder, more trusting relationship with yourself. I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating life transitions, issues around identity and self esteem, or feeling the lingering effects of traumatic experiences. Together we will work towards restoring a sense of grounding, choice, and self-compassion. With compassion and curiosity, the survival responses that once protected us can begin to soften opening the door to healing, thriving, and building a life lived with intention. My approach is heart centered and trauma informed. My work integrates EMDR (technique for reprocessing traumatic experiences), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). As a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner, I value the body’s wisdom and may incorporate mindfulness or somatic awareness into our sessions. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after time away, my hope is to offer a space that feels welcoming, supportive, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert on yourself and I am here to help guide you along your healing journey to help you move towards your goals and a life that feels more authentic and aligned.
Our first session will be focused on establishing rapport and building trust. We will be collecting information on what brings you to therapy, some history, and creating a plan of care together. My intention is to create a safe space for you to start peeling back the layers that brought you to therapy. We will move at your pace, one step, one breath at a time.
I use a heat centered and trauma informed approach, to help all parts of a client feel safe and welcomed exactly as they are.
Other specialties
I identify as
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is used to help us re-process traumatic events to aid in trauma resolution to help us change our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions to become more adaptive and supportive.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
ACT therapy helps us to change our relationships to our thoughts, emotions, our story, by building cognitive flexibility. In doing so we can move beyond the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that keep us stuck in order to live a full life connected to our values.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is used to help us build a stronger relationship to ourselves and the parts of ourself that we struggle with. The model holds the belief that all parts have good intentions. Through compassion and curiosity these parts can learn that they can take on different roles shifting us from patterns of survival to thriving.
