Do you feel drained from the hustle of daily life or a relationship that no longer serves you? Do you struggle with racing thoughts, what ifs, concerns, dread or hopelessness? Are you ready to dismantle societal norms, family conditioning and expectations and finally be at peace yourself? If you're ready to step into the best version of yourself, one that offers grace, compassion and unconditional love, all while rediscovering yourself and developing coping, communication and connection strategies I might be the therapist for you. For the last 8 years I have helped individuals, teens, couples and families with a variety of concerns; trauma, health/relationship concerns, adhd, anxiety, depression and a variety of life stressors and struggles. I am incredibly passionate about mental health and mental health awareness and am honored to be apart of clients healing journeys. Together we can build the best version of you while identifying, healing and setting boundaries in all the areas that have been holding you back. I offer support through evidence based theories and can help you develop a deeper sense of purpose. I aid and guide clients throughout their healing and have always said my clients know what's best for them. With a gentle yet accountable approach I will walk with you through your challenges and celebrate with you on your wins! If this sounds like a good fit for you, I would love to hear from you and look forward to having the privilege of being apart of your healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session we will meet for about 90 minutes (varies on client and client preference). I will get to know you, your history, concerns and struggles, as well as your goals with counseling. I'll spend a few minutes at the beginning of our first session reviewing informed consent so you feel confident in the counseling process and have an opportunity to ask any questions you might have. I will also spend a few minutes briefly reviewing my theoretical orientations so clients have context to the approaches, concepts and strategies I might offer throughout our time together. I love getting to know my clients and hearing about their world. At the end of our first session we will discuss scheduling based on my recommendation, your goals and what works for you. Finally we'll explore some easy homework that you can practice outside of session to better work you towards achieving your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Being apart of a big intimidate family I know both the blessings and challenges of such community and the complexities family impacts can have throughout our life functioning. As a mom of a child who had originally very unique health concerns, I understand the fear, confusion and concern one navigates as well as the honor and privileged of working through said challenges. I understand the importance of authentic connection and community, as well as the joy, integrity and peace these connections and community can provide. In my approach I am able to hold space for your experiences and emotions, while genuinely offering compassion, hope, and belief that you are never too late to develop the life you've always wanted and the most authentic version of you!

My treatment methods

Polyvagal Therapy

We'll use emotion and physical sensation to better determine what your mind/body are actually trying to communicate.

Attachment-based

We'll explore how relationship history and patterns are keeping you stuck in cycles you have no desire of continuing or that no longer serve you.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We'll explore typical thought patterns that are not helpful or that keep you stuck, and over time build a more positive mindset.

EMDR

We'll target thinking patterns and experiences that are negative or harmful, while outlining adaptive/positive beliefs and experiences to help you release the distress of negative experiences and thinking.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

We'll explore how emotions and relationships patterns may be contributing to miscommunication, conflict or disconnection in your relationship. We can use the EFIT model to help re-parent and reshape distressing experiences from your past.
