What is Grow Therapy?
Grow Therapy connects clients, therapists, and insurance companies to make mental healthcare simple to access.
What is the difference between therapy and psychiatry?
Therapy and psychiatry are both about diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, but they work in different ways. Therapy, also called counseling, involves talking to someone who helps you figure out your feelings and thoughts. Psychiatric providers at Grow are medical doctors and nurse practitioners who can prescribe medicine for mental health issues. They might also do therapy, but they mainly focus on medicine.
Can Grow Therapy providers prescribe medication?
Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners at Grow Therapy are licensed to prescribe medication as part of treatment. Therapists cannot prescribe medication. Please be mindful of this when choosing a provider!
What kind of prescribers are in Grow's psychiatry network?
Grow Therapy’s psychiatry network includes licensed psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners who can diagnose and treat mental health disorders and prescribe medication when appropriate.
