Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I have master's degrees in Social Work and Gerontology, which shape my approach to the therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with adults as they adapt to transitions in relationships, roles, beliefs, and circumstances. I create a safe space to authentically share, prioritizing collaboration in both exploration and goal setting.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In an initial session, we'll begin with brief introductions and explore any likes or dislikes in past experiences with therapy. Then, we'll dive more deeply into the reason why you're here. Through a discussion of challenges and goals, we'll collaboratively come up with a plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my commitment to treating clients as the experts of their own experience, learning about their specific perspectives rather than making generalizations or assumptions.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with people who are interested in understanding themselves more fully and making sense of how their experiences have shaped the way they think, feel, and relate to others. Many of the people I work with are beginning to notice patterns in their lives and are curious about where those come from. Together, we explore those patterns with compassion, looking at both personal experiences and the broader contexts that have influenced them. The goal is to create space for new ways of moving through the world that feel more intentional and authentic.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I'm a big believer in holistic wellness and the mind-body connection. CBT focuses on how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all linked. Together, we’ll explore ways to break unhelpful cycles and build healthier pathways that support your overall well-being.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In our sessions, I’m all about creating a comfortable, trusting space where you can explore, heal, and grow at your own pace. You know yourself best. My job is to bring the tools and support to help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

Feminist

Through a feminist lens, we’ll explore how the intersectionality of social, cultural, and systemic factors shape your experiences and identity. We’ll challenge any messages that have held you back and work toward reclaiming your voice and power. My goal is to support you in making meaningful changes, both within yourself and in the world around you.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness practices, like guided breathing and grounding, which can help in managing stress, anxiety, and sleep quality.

I was drawn to Amy because I used feminist as a filter and she was the one and only provider listed. I have had great therapists over the years, but at this point in my life I do align as a feminist. A therapist who has a base of knowledge about feminism and patriarchy feels safe to me. At our introduction appointment she was able to prompt me with questions to help her understand me more and evaluate how she could be of help. She was authentic.
