Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I have master's degrees in Social Work and Gerontology, which shape my approach to therapy. I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults as they adapt to transitions in relationships, roles, beliefs, and circumstances. I create a safe space to authentically share, prioritizing collaboration in both exploration and goal setting.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In an initial session, we'll begin with brief introductions and explore any likes or dislikes in past experiences with therapy. Then, we'll dive more deeply into the reason why you're here. Through a discussion of challenges and goals, we'll collaboratively come up with a plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my commitment to treating clients as the experts of their own experience, learning about their specific perspectives rather than making generalizations or assumptions.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with clients who are hoping to live more authentically. So many of us invest our time and energy feeding into past versions of ourselves that we've outgrown. If you're looking to question the status quo and disrupt a pattern that you feel has been holding you back, I want to go on that journey with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Together, we’ll incorporate CBT to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to shift them, helping you feel more in control of your emotions and actions. I take a collaborative and supportive approach, guiding you in building new skills that you can apply in everyday life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In our sessions, I take a person-centered approach in creating a trusting, authentic relationship where you feel empowered to explore, heal, and grow. We'll explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that's comfortable for you. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you, fostering self-discovery and personal growth.

Feminist

Through the feminist lens, let's explore how social and cultural factors shape your experiences, identity, and well-being. Together, we’ll identify and challenge societal messages that may be impacting your self-perception, helping you reclaim your voice and power. I provide a collaborative and affirming space where your experiences are valued, and we work toward empowerment, self-awareness, and equality. Through open dialogue and self-exploration, we’ll address issues of oppression, privilege, and intersectionality in a way that resonates with your unique experiences. My goal is to support you in creating meaningful change, both within yourself and in the world around you.
