New to Grow
Hi I'm Kaitlyn. I have been working as a therapist for 7 years. I enjoy hearing the stories of the clients I meet. It allows me to see the bigger picture of the pain you've endured and the mountains you've overcome. My belief is that we are all here on this earth together, so we may as well help each other along the way. So whether you're weary from a life of struggle or you're simply in a difficult chapter, I'm here to walk alongside you.
During our first session together, I will spend time asking questions that help me better understand you and the things you would like to work on. I will explain how therapy with me works going forward, and discuss creating a plan for future sessions.
Clients tend to enjoy my genuine, down to earth nature. I am a very easy going person, and I don't take myself too seriously. I believe that the answers you seek are always within you, and I'm going to ask the right questions so that you can find it. I am casual and funny when I need to be and serious and reverent when I need to be. I give the space to feel what you feel while still empathizing and sitting in it with you.
My ideal client would be someone who is an exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed mother who is struggling to find herself after giving birth. One who feels like she is barely holding her head above water with this all consuming depression that makes it hard to leave the couch. Or the one who cant stop worrying about whether she is doing a good job. Maybe she doesn't have the village surrounding her to help with her babies. My ideal client is the woman who simply wants to be heard.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
This is naturally ingrained into my practice. Its my belief that your values guide everything.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
The way we think about things directly influence how we feel about it. I love using CBT to help guide clients to better understand their thoughts and why they exist.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Connecting the state of our body to the state of our mind can truly help us find a place of peace and healing.
