My name is Tatiana, and I’m glad you’ve taken this brave step toward support. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and it’s normal to feel anxious or unsure in the beginning. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working with a diverse range of clients, including those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and life transitions. I take a client-centered approach, believing therapy should focus on what feels most important and comfortable for you. I tailor each session to your unique needs and goals. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. CBT helps identify and challenge unhelpful or intrusive thoughts, allowing for healthier, more balanced thinking—especially helpful for anxiety. A solution-focused approach emphasizes strengths and views challenges as manageable and solvable. When working with substance use concerns, I utilize motivational interviewing to foster motivation, insight, and meaningful change. Mindfulness techniques support grounding, present-moment awareness, and relaxation. Together, we will build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and strengthen your ability to manage life’s challenges. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am here to support you as you work toward emotional balance, self-confidence, and a more fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, you can expect a supportive, welcoming, and collaborative experience. This time is focused on getting to know you—your concerns, goals, and what led you to seek therapy—at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You will be heard, respected, and supported, and the session will feel more like a conversation than an interrogation. Together, we’ll begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship and explore how therapy can best support your needs moving forward

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I prioritize creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life challenges at their own pace. By focusing on the client’s unique needs and goals, I am able to tailor each session to meet them where they are, which fosters trust, engagement, and meaningful progress. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques, allowing me to meet a wide range of concerns with practical and effective strategies. CBT helps clients identify and restructure unhelpful thought patterns, promoting healthier ways of thinking and responding to stress. Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes strengths and practical solutions, helping clients view challenges as manageable and fostering a sense of empowerment. Motivational Interviewing is especially effective with clients facing behavioral changes, as it promotes intrinsic motivation, insight, and commitment to personal growth. Mindfulness techniques support clients in becoming grounded, present, and more able to manage stress and emotions. What stands out about my approach is the balance I strike between evidence-based methods and genuine empathy. I focus not only on helping clients achieve their goals but also on ensuring they feel supported, understood, and validated throughout the therapeutic process. I aim to help clients build coping skills, increase self-awareness, strengthen self-esteem, and achieve lasting emotional balance. Clients often note that my sessions feel conversational and collaborative rather than prescriptive, making therapy a space where they can explore themselves safely and openly. I am deeply committed to helping clients gain clarity, resilience, and confidence as they navigate life’s challenges, and I take pride in seeing meaningful growth and transformation over time. In summary, my strengths lie in combining evidence-based interventions with a compassionate, person-centered approach that fosters trust, empowerment, and lasting change. I am dedicated to helping clients navigate challenges, develop healthier thought and behavior patterns, and achieve emotional well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are seeking support through life’s challenges and are open to self-reflection and personal growth. I work well with clients who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and want practical tools to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am especially well-positioned to support those who want to build coping skills, strengthen self-esteem, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to stress. I also work effectively with clients who may feel hesitant or unsure about therapy but are willing to take that first step toward change. My approach is well suited for individuals who value a supportive, collaborative therapeutic relationship and are motivated to work toward emotional balance, clarity, and lasting healing

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I like to utilize the person-centered approach because it emphasizes that therapy is truly about the client. This approach helps clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore what they are ready and comfortable addressing at their own pace. It fosters a safe, supportive environment where the client’s autonomy and lived experience are central to the therapeutic process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I like to use CBT because it helps individuals engage in cognitive restructuring and recognize how changing their thoughts can lead to different outcomes. When working with clients who experience anxiety, CBT supports them in gaining new perspectives and identifying unhealthy, intrusive, or maladaptive thoughts. This process allows them to replace those patterns with more balanced, realistic, and healthier ways of thinking.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I also frequently use a solution-focused approach, as it helps clients identify concerns while viewing them as manageable and solvable. By shifting the focus toward strengths, resources, and possible solutions, clients are better able to see their situations as workable rather than overwhelming problems. This approach promotes hope, empowerment, and forward-focused change.

Motivational Interviewing

When working with clients who struggle with substance use, I like to utilize motivational interviewing, as it is the primary approach I was trained in when I entered the substance use field. This method helps clients feel supported, heard, and understood while fostering intrinsic motivation for change through the core principles of OARS. Change talk is so important.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I also incorporate mindfulness techniques, as they help clients become more present and grounded. Mindfulness supports individuals in gradually quieting their minds, increasing self-awareness, and giving themselves permission to relax and be in the moment
