My name is Haleigh, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist located in Grand Junction Colorado. I enjoy seeing couples and individuals. If you’re navigating the pain of a betrayal, hoping to strengthen communication in your relationship, or wanting support as you heal from past trauma, I’m here to help. I specialize in working with couples, as well as teens and adult individuals healing from complex trauma. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a deep belief in the power of safe connection to transform our lives. I view therapy as a space where we can slow down, explore patterns with curiosity, and rebuild trust, both within ourselves and in our relationships. I am trained in EMDR and draw from attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches to help clients process painful experiences and create new ways of relating. My office is an affirming, inclusive space for all identities, including the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to meet each person exactly where they are, honoring their unique story and strengths.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together would include us getting to know one another and establishing our relationship. I will be asking plenty of questions and guiding you through the first session. A first session usually feels less like therapy and more so like an interview, including questions about your inner world and family history so that I have a full picture of you and know how to best provide support. The real work will start after the intake process!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I pride myself in connecting deeply with my clients. I truly care about every individual that I work with and want to see you grow. I describe myself as "compassionately blunt", meaning I cut straight to the point and hold my clients accountable while also providing the warmth and compassion necessary to maintain our relationship.

My treatment methods

Couples Counseling

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, meaning that more than half of my education, training, and experience has been with more than one person in the room. I specialize in couple's therapy utilizing a mix of Gottman method and Emotion Focused Couple's Therapy. I am level 1 Gottman trained. I love seeing couples and feel confident with couples with presenting problems such as non-religious premarital counseling, betrayal/affairs, and couples that are noticing their communication patterns are struggling. I have experience working with LGBTQ+ couples as well.

Attachment-based

I am trained in Attachment-Based Family Therapy and view all of my client's through an attachment lens.

EMDR

I have training in EMDR and utilize it for in-person clients.

Trauma Informed Care

I am trauma informed and utilize EMDR and psychoeducation with clients that present with a trauma history.
