As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) working with clients in both California and Massachusetts, I am deeply passionate about supporting women through life’s transitions and challenges, particularly during the perinatal period. As someone who has personally navigated the complexities of birth trauma and postpartum mood disorders, I understand the profound emotional and physical toll that this time can take. I believe that no one should ever feel alone, isolated, or overwhelmed by stigma, fear, or a lack of support, especially when it comes to maternal mental health.
We will use our first session to get to know one another. We will discuss the specifics of what brought you to therapy and identify some of your goals and expectations moving forward. Just remember, therapy is a fluid process so your needs and goals may change and that's ok. I will follow your lead and we can adjust as needed.
I believe that one of my greatest strengths as a provider is my calm demeanor. I strive to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment.
Are you finding yourself overwhelmed, standing in the shower, unable to catch your breath, tears falling without warning? Do you feel a deep grief for the birth experience you had hoped for but didn’t get? Are you struggling to bond with your baby, even though you desperately want to connect? You may be experiencing flashbacks, haunted by moments of your pregnancy or childbirth. If any of this resonates with you, please know that you are not alone, and your experience is valid. Healing is possible, and therapy can provide a safe space where you can process your feelings, work through the trauma, and reclaim your sense of peace and strength. You don’t have to carry this burden on your own. If you're ready to begin this process, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
Everyone deals with trauma, whether a singular event or a complex history. EMDR is very effective is helping individuals heal from distressing life events. I can assist you in processing traumatic memories, which can provide relief and enhance resilience.
I believe you are the expert of your own experiences, and I tailor our sessions to focus on your individual needs.
I do not use a single method approach to therapy. Everyone is different and our needs frequently change, so I find it useful to utilize multiple modalities in therapy practice.
