Hello, my name is Crystal Williams, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) as well as Licensed Social worker (LSW) in the state of Illinois. I have been a practicing clinician for over 15 years. My focus I clinical practice with Adult's seeking individual and/or couple's therapy for short term therapy. I have had clients from all different racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. I specialize in the following treatment conditions: Anxiety/ Panic Attacks, Stress management, Relationship issues, Parenting issues/ Parent/child issues, Self Esteem/Self-identity concerns, Communication/ Boundaries, Coping skills, LGBTQIA+, grief counseling etc. ***Currently only accepting clients for INDIVIDUAL therapy, unfortunately I am at capacity to accept new couples for couples therapy. I am No longer accepting cash session clients only blue cross and blue shield and Optum/ UHC insurance clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The initial session we will walk through initial intake information in greater detail and begin to build rapport.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My approach My best treatment approaches are collage of multiple treatment modalities such as Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)/compassion focused/ emotional focused/ psychodynamic therapy/solution focused/ and strength based, and for couple's therapy: Gottman theory, Imago method and Emotion focused therapy to name a few. Services and treatment plans are created to each individualized client(s). I am focused on helping clients develop a toolbox full of tools to learn how to cope with various life situations to eventually feel confident in their abilities to not require therapy long-term.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

The areas of practice which I have seen the most success with client's are stress management, anxiety management, reducing or eliminating anxiety attacks, improving self-esteem/confidence/feeling empowered, learning and adapting into their self-identity, and learning coping tools and emotional regulation. When practicing with couples I am able to help couples navigate communicating as a third person, but stay neutral and support both individuals equally. Lastly, educating/informing clients on diagnosis and explaining why their symptomology is relatable and working together as a team to learn better management or resolve certain issues.
