Hi, I’m Greg Norris, a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in the neurosciences. I work with young adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and the feeling of constantly carrying too much mentally. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in both neuroscience and whole-person care. I take time to truly understand what’s going on beneath the surface, not just treat symptoms quickly and move on. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside while quietly struggling with stress, focus, motivation, sleep, or feeling disconnected from themselves. I believe mental health care should feel human. My goal is to help you better understand your mind, nervous system, and patterns while building practical tools that actually support your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is designed to feel conversational, supportive, and unhurried. We’ll explore what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you hope life could look like moving forward. I listen not only for symptoms, but for patterns involving stress, sleep, relationships, focus, emotional regulation, burnout, and overall nervous system health. Many clients come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or unsure why things feel harder than they “should.” Rather than rushing into a rigid plan, we begin building clarity together. Depending on your needs, treatment may include therapy-informed strategies, practical coping tools, medication management, lifestyle support, or further evaluation when appropriate. Many people leave the first session feeling understood, relieved, and more hopeful than they expected.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is helping people make sense of what they’re experiencing without judgment or shame. I combine a strong neuroscience and medical background with a calm, human approach that values listening, education, and collaboration. I often work well with adults who have spent years quietly compensating for anxiety, ADHD symptoms, burnout, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm. Many are intelligent and capable, yet internally exhausted from constantly pushing themselves. I do not believe mental health care should feel cold or transactional. I believe people do better when they feel safe, understood, educated, and actively involved in their care. My goal is to help you build insight, resilience, and practical strategies that lead to meaningful and sustainable change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve individuals who feel like they’ve been unheard or dismissed in their health journey. I want to work with those who are looking for more than a quick fix. My ideal clients are thoughtful, motivated to understand themselves, and want a provider who will truly listen and collaborate with them. Whether you're working through anxiety, overwhelm, or seeking clarity about treatment options, I aim to be a partner in your care—someone who helps you explore, make informed choices, and move forward with confidence.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. We work together to identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking. By practicing new coping strategies and behavior changes, patients gain tools to manage distress and move toward their goals.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help patients explore their own reasons for change in a non-judgmental, collaborative way. By asking open-ended questions and reflecting their responses, I help them resolve ambivalence and strengthen their internal motivation. This approach supports autonomy and builds confidence in taking steps toward meaningful goals.
