Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. My master's is from the University of Southern California and have been in practice for over 12 years. I work with young adults/adults struggling with life transitions, stressors, and anxiety/depression. I am multi-lingual and multi-ethnic and value diversity/culture and its role in mental wellness. I am also in therapy which allows me to see "both sides of the chair". Seeking a therapist is a personal decision that should be made with care and empathy in mind. In our fist session, we"ll start with brief introductions, than dive into the specific challenges your facing. This will help us create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.
Thru exploration of the challenges, we'll identify the root cause and create a plan that will lead to measurable changes. I am compassionate/non-judgemental and caring. I view each person as an individual, my focus is geared towards strengths and humanistic perspectives (e.g. positive self-regard/self-esteem) to that end my focus is on your overall improvement/enhancement of your life. I have experience in working with various populations (e.g. adults/families/adolescents) and within those populations focusing on positive outcomes
Attachment theory focuses on the relational patterns in the past, present, and impacts on future relational patterns. My utilization of this approach is to help you come to a better sense of the impacts of all these. In my work, we will explore family/work/school/relationships to assist you in overcoming obstacles based in this area.
