Starting therapy can be daunting, but you're here, so you're one step closer to positively changing your current situation. As an experienced mental health professional, I focus on helping clients build awareness of how patterns rooted in early life experiences can impact them in the present.
In our first session we will have brief introductions and complete a biopsychosocial assessment. This will help identify current challenges and symptoms experienced. Once the assessment is completed, this will help in creating a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.
My treatment methods include: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) framework to help identify, challenge, and reframe thought patterns; compassion-focused; culturally sensitive; multicultural; motivational interviewing; person-centered; and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
My strengths include helping clients work through life transitions, identify coping skills, and decrease problematic symptoms. I have experience helping clients process issues around racial identity, peer relationships, stress, communication struggles, and substance use.
