New to Grow
I work with adults who struggle with anxiety and are looking for practical tools to feel more in control of their lives. My approach is warm, supportive, and person-centered, meeting you where you are while helping you build lasting coping skills. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR when appropriate, tailoring treatment to your unique goals, experiences, and pace.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, how anxiety has been affecting your daily life, and what you've already tried to manage it. Together, we'll identify your goals and discuss treatment options, including CBT or EMDR if they fit your needs. My goal is to make sure you leave your first session with at least one practical coping skill you can begin using right away, so you have something tangible to practice between sessions.
I am a skills-based therapist who believes therapy should provide both support and practical strategies. I use evidence-based techniques, including CBT and EMDR, to help clients better understand their anxiety, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful change. At the same time, I take a person-centered approach, which means I meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I value building a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the therapy process.
I work best with individuals who struggle with anxiety and want to better understand not only how to manage it, but also where it comes from. My ideal client is curious about the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be contributing to their anxiety and is motivated to create lasting change. Together, we'll identify triggers, build practical coping skills, and explore the underlying thoughts and beliefs such as "I'm not good enough" or "I'm not worthy" that may be keeping anxiety going. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT and EMDR, I help clients develop healthier ways of thinking, process past experiences, and feel more confident and in control of their lives.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help you recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, learn practical coping skills, and practice new ways of responding to anxiety so you can feel more confident in everyday situations.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help you process difficult experiences that may still be affecting you today. By working through these memories in a structured and supportive way, many people find they feel less overwhelmed by the past and more able to move forward.
