Hi, I'm glad you are here. My name is Alicia and I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor based in Southern California and working telehealth statewide. I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and clinical expertise. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental space, where clients can work through various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will more than likely be spent talking about what is bringing you to therapy, discussing expectations, and collaboratively working on building trust and rapport. Together, we will later discuss your therapeutic goals and craft out ways to accomplish them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My communicating style is calm, authentic, and approachable. I like to emphasize collaborative work and being comfortable enough to be transparent without fear of judgement. My non-judgmental stance is one of my greatest strengths, as well as understanding how vulnerable it is to approach therapy at times. As someone who has received therapy herself, I like to welcome each client with empathy and understanding.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My work with clients is marked by empathy and a commitment to helping them achieve lasting change and foster a more meaningful life. I have found that my approach works well with adults who experience emotional dysregulation, interpersonal conflicts, and emotional vulnerability. This can include depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and others.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice, which focuses on mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance. These skills can help clients improve their lives and relationships, build resiliency, and gain skills during their therapeutic journey.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use Rogerian or Person-centerd method in my practice by creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment in which clients feel safe, accepted, valued, and understood.
