Many Black men learn early how to manage responsibility, emotion, and expectation — often without being given space to process what they’re carrying. Over time, this can show up as stress, anger, disconnection, anxiety, or feeling worn down by holding it all together. I provide individual therapy for Black men and for children and adolescents who need a space where they are understood in context, not pathologized.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
With adults, we often explore identity, stress, relationships, anger, parenting, and the impact of long-standing expectations. With children and adolescents, sessions focus on emotional regulation, communication, behavior, and helping them feel safe enough to express what’s underneath the surface.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience providing therapy to adults, children, and families across a range of emotional and behavioral concerns. I bring a steady, respectful presence to the work and value building trust at your pace. My approach is relational, grounded, and collaborative. Therapy is not about fixing you or your child — it’s about slowing things down, making sense of patterns, and building emotional tools that actually fit real life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with: Black men navigating stress, anger, identity, or emotional isolation. Parents seeking support for their Black or Brown sons. Adolescents struggling with anxiety, ADHD, or behavioral challenges. Families involved with schools or child welfare systems who want thoughtful, steady support.
