I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for children, teens, and adults. My goal is to create a supportive, down-to-earth space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and working through what’s been weighing on you. I have experience in outpatient mental health and trauma-informed care, and I use approaches like CBT, EMDR, and other evidence-based techniques to support healing and growth. I’m here to help you feel more steady, confident, and connected as you move forward.
In your first session, we’ll take time to get to know you and what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what’s been most challenging, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, and to begin identifying goals and next steps that feel manageable and meaningful.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I take a collaborative and individualized approach, tailoring therapy to each person rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. I focus on balancing insight with practical tools, helping clients not only understand what they’re experiencing but also feel more equipped to navigate it in their daily lives. I also bring a trauma-informed perspective to my work, allowing clients to move at a pace that feels safe while still making meaningful progress.
I am best positioned to support children, teens, and adults who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, past experiences that continue to impact them, life transitions, or challenges in relationships. They may be looking for a space where they can slow down, make sense of what they’re going through, and feel supported without judgment. I work well with individuals who are open to exploring their thoughts and emotions and are ready to take small, meaningful steps toward feeling more steady, confident, and connected in their lives.
EMDR
I utilize EMDR to treat PTSD. I have been certified as an EMDR therapist for a year now and have found it to be beneficial for individuals diagnosed with PTSD.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as one of the tools in my work with clients, particularly when addressing anxiety, negative thought patterns, and everyday stress. I have experience using CBT to help clients better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and how those patterns can impact their daily lives. In my practice, I use CBT in a flexible and collaborative way, helping clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also focus on practical coping strategies that clients can use outside of sessions to feel more confident and in control.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as part of my work with clients who are experiencing intense emotions, stress, or difficulty managing reactions in relationships. I have experience using DBT skills to help clients build greater awareness of their emotions while also learning practical ways to cope and respond more effectively. In my practice, I often incorporate DBT techniques such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. My goal is to help clients feel more in control of their emotions and better equipped to navigate challenging situations in their daily lives.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing as a collaborative approach to help clients explore their goals, build confidence, and work through ambivalence about change. I have experience using this approach to support individuals who may feel stuck or unsure about their next steps. In my practice, I focus on meeting clients where they are, using open conversation and curiosity to help them identify what matters most to them. My goal is to support clients in finding their own motivation for change in a way that feels realistic, empowering, and aligned with their values.
