My professional background spans child welfare, crisis stabilization, substance abuse and mental health group therapy and individual therapy. Your first session will entail a time to get to know one another and the reason for therapy, explain the general structure of the sessions, confidentiality, what you can expect from therapy, session logistics, and your goals and expectations.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, strength-based and culturally responsive. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences, and tailoring interventions to fit their individual needs and goals. I draw from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution focused strategies, and mindfulness-based techniques to help client build coping skills, resilience and insight. The clients meet goals with my approach to therapy are seeking treatment with anxiety, depression, life challenges, grief and loss, and anger management issues.
