Hi there, I'm Christine. Are you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the world around you? Are you struggling to keep up with your responsibilities and relationships? Is your inner critic starting to take over your headspace? I empower high-achievers to better manage anxiety and overcome feelings of burnout. Together we will identify your core struggles, restore balance, and create inner wellness. I incorporate a holistic, integrative approach to address your emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. I implement mindfulness-based interventions to promote mind-body awareness and facilitate a deeper connection with your authentic self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will take time for brief introductions and I will review practice policies before delving into the challenges that brought you here. I will guide this session with questions about your background and history in order to gain a clearer picture about your unique circumstances and what you are hoping to gain from this process. This assessment process will support me in designing a tailored treatment plan that will help guide our work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Seeking therapy can often feel scary, but it is a courageous step in the direction of healing and growth. I truly believe in the power of therapy and the safety of the therapeutic relationship to help guide you in your healing journey. The path of your healing journey is unlikely to be linear. Be prepared for some challenges, steep hills, and potholes along the road. Just remember, that you are not alone in this process. Together, we will find ways for you to navigate and overcome the barriers that arise and create new meaning in your life. I believe that healing is a journey of growth. In our sessions, I will partner with you in overcoming the barriers to feeling your best self and living your best life.

My treatment methods

Integrative

I implement a holistic, strengths-based, integrative approach to treatment by incorporating a variety of evidenced-based practices tailored to meet your unique wants and needs. I will partner with you in expanding on the strengths, resources, and skills you already possess, while creating a new process and experience to better inform and guide you in your own healing journey.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Commitment leads to success in all areas of life. I believe that your commitment to this process (and yourself) is equally important. Many of us spend so much time caught up in our heads worrying about the future—or the past—that we become distanced and distracted from the present experience. This unnecessary worrying can interfere with our functioning or relationships and prevent us from living life in a more meaningful way. The only time we can act is in the present moment, the here and now. Throughout our work together, I will support you in identifying commitments that are guided by the direction of your core values.

Trauma Informed Care

A foundational element of my treatment approach incorporates trauma-informed care. Symptoms of traumatic stress can manifest physically, often times in a subconscious manner. Fostering mind-body awareness will increase your capacity for developing helpful coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, and mindfulness techniques to aid your healing journey. Additionally, making connections between the past and how it impacts your present life (i.e., in your current relationships or how you interact with the world) will be incredibly important in increasing insight, awareness, and self-compassion. These components will be particularly useful in formulating commitments that better support you in changing your relationship with past stressful experiences and reformulating your inner narrative into one of healing, compassion, and resiliency.
