Hi! I'm Beth. It's so great to be a part of an online community that provides support and flexibility to a level allowing you to receive quality and personal mental health care resulting in the improvement in your overall well-being. To be put simply, my goal is for you to "be happy". What does happiness look like? You get to create it, it's own your life, you only get one! It sounds overly simple, but research has found true happiness exists in the meaning. My personal interests include drawing/painting, time at the water relaxing, travel adventures, and quality time with friends, family, and my son.
Going to therapy is meeting someone new and being asked to share your feelings and thoughts which can feel awkward and may increase anxiety, yet be assured, I'm here to offer a safe and confidential space where there is time to vent, explain, process, grow, learn, heal, and move forward in creating your best life.
You'll hear me ask about your strengths because it is those strengths that can help pull us of out of some pretty messy life things. You are resilient and I believe in you.
My background is diverse- I have worked in the non-profit world and private practice for 15 years and for the federal government for 10 years. Areas of expertise include the fields of physical and mental well-being, substance use, domestic violence, homelessness, sex workers and hospice.
