About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/therapist in Georgia and New York state. Over the past twenty years, I have worked clients dealing with anxiety, grief and loss, depression, ADHD, adjustment issues, mood instability, interpersonal issues, parenting challenges, and attachment-related traumas. I have also supported clients who experienced sexual trauma, physical abuse, or emotional abuse. We start wherever you are and share the load in doing the heavy lifting. My therapy style is warm, client-focused, and empathetic. I believe that dignity, compassion, and respect are at the heart of a transformative therapeutic relationship that supports achieving client outcomes. Come as you are. I am interested in working with you at your pace, in a safe and non-judgmental way, to find a healthier way forward. Let's learn to improve our mental states and be better for ourselves one session at a time.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect to garner knowledge about the neurology of neurodivergence and what it means to have an interest-based brain. Clients can also expect a safe space to explore whatever is disrupting their lives the most, and find tools to ease their somatic and cognitive anxiety. Clients can expect the session to go at their pace.

The treatment methods and tools I utilize

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is strengths-based, client-centered, evidence-informed, trauma-focused, and solution-focused. I have lived and worked in South America and treated clients all over the world. As a person of color, I live at the intersection of multiple identities that continue to struggle with approaching therapy to find support. My practice provides a safe space that allows us to do the work together. I spend time helping clients to learn grounding tools, bottom-up soothing, understanding how anxiety can be helpful and self-regulation to reduce avoidance due to anxiety. We also work together to improve the tolerance for discomfort to face and move through difficult experiences/situations. We are what we repeatedly do, and we can unlearn what is not working for us and learn something new so that we can live well.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My practice is well suited to clients who are Neurodivergent (ADHD), who have experienced Anxiety, Grief and Loss, and who have attachment trauma.
