LCSW, 14 years of experience
Welcome! I am dedicated to helping you uncover and understand the deeper aspects of yourself - your wants and needs, values and beliefs, strengths and challenges. By exploring these elements together, we can gain insight into patterns and work towards addressing them effectively. My goal is to help you feel your best and live a fulfilling life. I believe in the transformative power of therapy and am committed to supporting my clients every step of the way.
In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where they'll have an opportunity to share their concerns, experiences, and goals in a confidential and nonjudgmental space. I'll also share additional information about my therapeutic approach and how I can support you in achieving your goals. I'll answer any questions you might have about the therapy process. We'll get to know each other better and feel out the fit, knowing that a strong therapeutic relationship is essential for effective therapy.
I am authentic, compassionate, dedicated and connection-oriented. I think that psychology is fascinating and so helpful to understand. Driven by this passion, I've gained top notch training and experience throughout my career.
I work with adults who want to connect more deeply with who they are and where they are going. We can tackle a wide range of challenges, questions and goals by deepening insights and honing skills. I've treated many different conditions with all levels of severity. I often see clients with anxiety disorders such as PTSD and OCD, and depressive disorders such as Dysthymia and Major Depressive Disorder. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and am endorsed by the state of California as an Infant-Family Mental Health Specialist. I use evidence-based models of care and have a warm, authentic approach.
I use CBT to help clients identify and change unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors that impact their emotional well-being and life outcomes.
I use Relational Therapy to help clients explore how their relationships (past and present) shape their sense of self and overall well-being.
I use ACT to help clients develop psychological flexibility - the ability to be present, open up, and do what matters, even in the presence of difficult thoughts, feelings and sensations.
I use Humanistic-Existential Therapy to help clients focus on their capacity for self-awareness, self-actualization, and personal growth.
