New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience in the mental health field. My background includes work in Child Protective Services and as a medical social worker, which has shaped my compassionate, grounded, and holistic approach to therapy. These experiences have given me a deep respect for the strength people carry, even during life’s most difficult seasons. I value cultural awareness and honor each client’s unique identity and lived experience. Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we focus on meaningful, realistic goals that support emotional well-being and lasting change. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself, exploring your concerns, and building on your existing strengths. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and maternal mental health concerns, including the emotional changes that can occur during pregnancy, postpartum and early parenthood. I also support clients who are navigating questions around cultural identify, family expectations, and balancing personal values with cultural traditions. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, develop coping strategies and reconnect with their strengths. Whether you are adjusting to motherhood, managing anxiety or depression, or exploring your identity or life direction, therapy can be a space where you feel supported, understood and empowered. I provide a supportive space where you can slow down and process what you have been experiencing.
Our first session is about getting to know one another and laying the foundation for our work together. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you hope to gain, and any concerns you’d like to address—at your own pace. There is no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll review important background information and begin identifying goals that feel meaningful to you. My priority is helping you feel safe, heard, and supported. Therapy is a partnership, and you are always in control of what we discuss. Together, we’ll explore approaches that best meet your needs.
I believe emotional safety comes first. My style is collaborative and client-centered, helping you feel seen and understood. I approach coping strategies with compassion, recognizing that they often develop for a reason. Instead of judging patterns, we work to understand them. I balance deep emotional processing with practical tools you can use between sessions. We won’t just talk about challenges—we’ll identify patterns, explore their roots, and develop clear strategies to support meaningful change. My goal is to help you build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and feel more confident managing stress and relationships. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a child protective services and medical social worker, supporting individuals and families navigating high stress situations and complex life challenges. Because of my work supporting families in crisis, I understand how stress, family dynamics, trauma and systemic pressure affect thoughts, emotions, and behavior. It also gave me a strengths-based lens: even in the most challenging circumstances, people have resilience, resources, and solutions within reach. These skills now directly inform my approach to therapy, helping clients feel understood while developing practical strategies for change. In my work with clients, I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. These approaches focus on helping you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions and behaviors, while also identifying practical steps toward change. With CBT, we explore how certain thought patterns may be contributing to feelings of anxiety, self-doubt, or sadness. For example, if you often find yourself thinking "I'm not doing enough" or "I am failing as a parent," we work together to gently challenge those thoughts and replace them with more balanced and supportive perspectives. Over time, this can help reduced overwhelming emotions and create healthier ways of responding to stress. Solution-Focused Therapy focuses on identifying your strengths and building on what is already working in your life. Instead of focusing on problems, we also explore moments when things feel slightly better and use those insights to create small, achievable changes.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, particularly those navigating anxiety, depression, and maternal mental health challenges. I also support clients who are exploring cultural identity, managing family or societal expectations or facing complex life stressors. in therapy, we work collaboratively to identify and challenge thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, self-critism, or sadness (CBT). Along with focusing on strengths and small, actionable solutions that make life change possible.
Strength-Based
My work is grounded in a strengths based perspective, which means I focus on identifying and building on resources/abilities you already have. I work on identifying personal values, skills, and coping strategies that have served you well. Reframing self-doubt into self-awareness and growth. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel seen not just for their struggles, but for their courage, wisdom and capacity for growth.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients understand their connection between their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Together, we identify thinking patterns that are not helpful and develop tools to reduce distress and improve daily functioning. Many times, we carry beliefs that increase anxiety. self-doubt, or hopelessness and CBT helps brings those patterns into awareness so we can gently challenge and reshape them.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I incorporate SFBT, a goal-oriented approach that focuses on solutions, rather than problems. We work together to identify what is already working and build on those strengths to create meaningful changes. This may look like clarifying clear, achievable goals; developing small, practical steps towards progress. This approach is collaborative, empowering and focused on helping you see movement.
