As a double board certified nurse practitioner with a passion for helping people feel understood and supported. I have a strong background in mental health, and I specialize in all areas of mental health and life transitions. My approach is compassionate and collaborative—we’ll work together to help you feel more balanced and empowered. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I work with individuals who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected—often battling anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood instability. My ideal clients are those who have tried therapy, medication, or other routes but still feel like something’s missing. They’re searching for real, lasting relief and a provider who listens deeply, understands their unique story, and offers compassionate, evidence-based care that goes beyond a prescription pad. What sets me apart is my holistic, client-centered approach.I don’t just treat symptoms—I look at the whole person: mind & body.

Taking the first step toward mental health support can feel overwhelming—and incredibly brave. If you're navigating challenges with anxiety, depression, mood changes, or just feeling "off," please know you're not alone. As a PMHNP, my approach is grounded in compassion, active listening, and a deep respect for your unique needs. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free space where you feel heard as a whole person — not just a diagnosis or list of symptoms. During your first session, we will spend time getting to know you beyond what brought you in today. We’ll discuss your emotional health, medical history, lifestyle, stressors, sleep, relationships, nutrition, work or school demands, and any factors that may be impacting your overall well-being. My approach is holistic and individualized. I believe mental and physical health are deeply connected, and treatment should reflect that connection. While medication can be incredibly helpful and life-changing for some people, it is not always the only answer or the first step. Together, we will explore all contributing factors and discuss evidence-based options that may include therapy, behavioral strategies, nervous system regulation, sleep optimization, nutrition, exercise, mindfulness practices, supplements when appropriate, stress management, and medication if clinically indicated and aligned with your goals. The first session is also a time for you to ask questions and decide whether this feels like a good fit. I value transparency, education, and shared decision-making, meaning you will never be pressured int

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a PMHNP/FNP is my ability to provide truly individualized, whole-person care that considers both mental and physical health together. I understand how physical health conditions can significantly impact mental health and vice versa. For example, symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue, irritability, poor concentration, mood instability, or insomnia may sometimes be influenced by thyroid disorders, hormonal changes, insulin resistance, vitamin deficiencies, chronic pain, medication side effects, inflammation, or other conditions. I believe every patient has a unique story, background, and set of experiences that deserve thoughtful attention and respect. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, I work to understand the complete picture of a person’s health, including emotional well-being, medical history, lifestyle, stressors, relationships, sleep, nutrition, work-life balance, and personal goals. This broader perspective helps create treatment plans that are realistic, sustainable, and tailored specifically to each individual. What often stands out most about my approach is that I take time to genuinely listen. Many people seeking psychiatric or medical care have previously felt rushed, dismissed, misunderstood, or reduced to a checklist of symptoms. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing difficult topics openly. Building trust and therapeutic rapport is extremely important to me because meaningful progress happens when patients feel emotionally safe and actively involved in their care. My therapeutic approach is holistic, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe medication can be incredibly beneficial and life-changing for some individuals, but I also believe medication is not always the only answer or the first answer. Mental health is influenced by many interconnected factors, and effective treatment often involves more than simply prescribing medication. I work closely with patients to explore underlying contributors to symptoms, which may include chronic stress, burnout, trauma, hormonal imbalances, inflammation, sleep disruption, nutritional deficiencies, medical conditions, relationship difficulties, environmental stressors, or unhealthy coping patterns.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical responses. In practice, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop healthier coping strategies that support lasting behavioral change. My approach to CBT is structured, goal-oriented, and individualized to each client’s needs. I commonly incorporate techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, exposure-based interventions, problem-solving skills, and psychoeducation. I also emphasize practical tools clients can apply outside of sessions, including thought records, coping skills practice, and mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate. I have used CBT to support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, stress-related concerns, adjustment difficulties, low self-esteem, and ADHD-related challenges. I strive to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to build insight, improve emotional regulation, and develop effective long-term coping skills.
