Welcome! I’m Karen, a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping adults navigate many of life's challenges. Mental health is not just my profession, but my passion, and I will hold space for you to express the full range of emotions that arise in our work. Nothing is too shameful or scary for us to face together. My areas of clinical focus are anxiety, eating disorders, grief, trauma, and PTSD. I often work well with clients who exhibit behaviors such as feelings of isolation, social overwhelm, restlessness or poor sleep, sudden or unexplained fear, or feelings of tension, being on guard, or on edge.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend it getting to know one another and determine if we are a good fit for one another. We will discuss what goals you have for your life and what you want to get out of therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I like to create a safe space for you to discuss your dreams, failures and what you would like to change about your life. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help identify the challenges you may be facing and to help you develop healthier coping mechanisms. The goal in my practice is to help you be the best you, you can be!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I like to create space for you to build upon what we discuss by providing you with worksheets and ask you to regularly reflect on our work together. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help identify the challenges you may be facing and to help you develop healthier coping mechanisms. The goal in my practice is to help you be the best you, you can be!

My treatment methods

Christian Counseling

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Christian Principles to guide my treatment of clients.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts and the words that come out of their mouth have a great impact on how we interpret events in our daily life. Most people are not aware of how their thoughts and spoken words effect their interpretation of daily events. We will look at ways of becoming more aware of both and develop interventions to change your thinking/speaking to a positive mindset, thus changing your view of external events
