Starting therapy can take courage, especially if you’ve felt misunderstood, judged, or unsupported in the past. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are — a place that feels safe, affirming, and genuinely supportive. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ folks, women, and anyone navigating the impacts of trauma, identity-based stress, or systems that haven’t always made space for them. In our work together, we’ll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. Therapy with me is collaborative — you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to support you with tools, perspective, and care as you make sense of your experiences and move toward the life you want. Some of the approaches I draw from include EMDR for trauma processing, DBT for building coping and emotional regulation skills, and The Daring Way™ work around vulnerability, courage, and living in alignment with your values. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to start. That’s okay — we’ll figure it out together. Whether you’re working through trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and build the skills you need to move forward. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to connect. Whoever you are, you are welcome here.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know each other and making sure this space feels safe, supportive, and affirming for you. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for in a therapist, what I can offer, and explore together whether this feels like a good fit. I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable — especially if you’ve had to navigate judgment or misunderstanding before — so I approach this first meeting with care, curiosity, and no pressure. We’ll also cover some practical things like scheduling, availability, and any tech or platform details if we’re meeting virtually. Most importantly, you’ll have space to ask questions and share whatever feels comfortable in the moment. This is your time, your space, and we’ll always move at your pace.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel fully accepted. I specialize in supporting clients who are ready to reconnect with their inner child, work through past wounds, and find new ways of relating to themselves and others. My approach is grounded in compassion and curiosity, with a strong commitment to being queer-affirming and inclusive. Whatever identities or experiences you bring, they will be welcomed, respected, and honored in our work together. I’m especially drawn to existential work — exploring the deeper questions of meaning, identity, and purpose — all while using evidence-based approaches to support your growth. Whether you’re unpacking trauma, reclaiming your voice, or navigating this world as a queer person or woman in a time that doesn’t always feel safe, I’m here to walk with you through it, with care and integrity.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

If you’re exploring who you are — or who you’re becoming — you’ll likely feel at home in this space. I love working with LGBTQIA+ clients, especially those who are coming out later in life or still figuring things out. Whether you’re questioning, redefining your identity, or navigating how to live more authentically in your day-to-day life, we can move through that process together at your pace. I also support clients working through anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, and concerns around sex, intimacy, or sexual functioning. I also offer a kink-affirming and polyamory-affirming space where all relationship structures and expressions of sexuality are respected and supported. Many of the people I work with are unpacking old messages, learning to reconnect with themselves, and building lives that feel more aligned, fulfilling, and honest. You don’t need to have it all figured out to start — just a willingness to be curious about yourself.

EMDR

I’ve spent the past 8 years using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support children, teens, and adults in healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps your nervous system release what it’s been holding onto — so you can move forward without carrying the full weight of the past. This work doesn’t have to look just one way. We can adapt EMDR to fit your needs, pace, and comfort — whether that means slowing things down, integrating it with talk therapy, or using creative tools that feel right for you. Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and together we’ll shape the process in a way that feels grounding, empowering, and truly yours.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

For the past 8 years, I’ve supported clients using DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) — a practical, skills-based approach that helps you navigate the real-life challenges of stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and relationship struggles. DBT offers accessible tools you can start using right away, empowering you to cope more effectively, set boundaries, and respond to life with more ease and self-compassion. I integrate DBT with other approaches (like EMDR and parts work), tailoring it to meet both your immediate needs and long-term goals. Whether you’re trying to get through the day or make deeper shifts in your patterns, we’ll build a toolbox that honors your lived experience and helps you feel more grounded, capable, and in control.

Interpersonal

I also integrate Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) into my work — especially for clients who are exploring relationship patterns, attachment wounds, or the impact of past dynamics on how they show up today. IPT helps us examine the connections between your mental health and your relationships, whether that means healing from conflict, navigating grief or transitions, or learning how to show up more authentically with others. In a world that often tells queer people, women, and survivors to shrink themselves or stay silent, this work can be deeply liberating. Together, we’ll look at the ways your past relationships have shaped you — and begin rewriting those stories with intention, boundaries, and self-trust.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a strengths-based approach that centers your existing wisdom and resilience. SFBT is especially helpful when you're feeling stuck and need support identifying small, meaningful steps forward — without having to rehash every detail of the past. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” we’ll explore what’s already working, amplify your strengths, and clarify your vision for the life you want. This approach can be especially empowering for queer folks, women, and anyone navigating systems that weren’t built with them in mind — because it helps you reclaim your voice, define your goals, and take action on your own terms.

Brainspotting

I also offer Brainspotting — a powerful, brain-body based approach that helps access and process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held experiences that may not always be reachable through talk therapy alone. Brainspotting allows us to gently tap into the body’s natural ability to heal by focusing on specific “brainspots” connected to where trauma is stored in the nervous system. This method can be especially transformative for queer and gender-expansive folks, women, and survivors of complex trauma who may have learned to disconnect from their bodies in order to survive. In our work together, you’ll be supported in moving through old wounds with care, curiosity, and agency — at a pace that feels safe and grounded. Your body holds deep wisdom, and Brainspotting helps us listen.
