LCSW, 8 years of experience
Hi there — I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Texas, with 8 years of experience supporting clients of many ages and life experiences. I specialize in creating a healing, affirming space for LGBTQ+ folks, women, and anyone navigating the lasting impacts of trauma, oppression, or identity-based stress. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and rooted in compassion. I primarily use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Brené Brown’s The Daring Way™ curriculum to support clients working through PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, and challenges related to gender, sexuality, relationships, and embodiment. Therapy with me is collaborative — you’re always in the driver’s seat. I honor each person’s unique story, strengths, and needs, and I tailor our work to reflect that. Whether you’re brand new to therapy or returning after some time away, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path toward healing and wholeness. Reach out if you’re curious. Whoever you are, you are welcome here.
Our first session is all about getting to know each other and making sure this space feels safe, supportive, and affirming for you. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for in a therapist, what I can offer, and explore together whether this feels like a good fit. I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable — especially if you’ve had to navigate judgment or misunderstanding before — so I approach this first meeting with care, curiosity, and no pressure. We’ll also cover some practical things like scheduling, availability, and any tech or platform details if we’re meeting virtually. Most importantly, you’ll have space to ask questions and share whatever feels comfortable in the moment. This is your time, your space, and we’ll always move at your pace.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are and feel fully accepted. I specialize in supporting clients who are ready to reconnect with their inner child, work through past wounds, and find new ways of relating to themselves and others. My approach is grounded in compassion and curiosity, with a strong commitment to being queer-affirming and inclusive. Whatever identities or experiences you bring, they will be welcomed, respected, and honored in our work together. I’m especially drawn to existential work — exploring the deeper questions of meaning, identity, and purpose — all while using evidence-based approaches to support your growth. Whether you’re unpacking trauma, reclaiming your voice, or navigating this world as a queer person or woman in a time that doesn’t always feel safe, I’m here to walk with you through it, with care and integrity.
I love working with teens and adults who are craving real, authentic connection in therapy. My space is intentionally queer-affirming, nonjudgmental, and rooted in curiosity — a place where you can show up as your whole self, however that looks, and explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns, and lived experiences without fear of shame, rejection, or the need to explain your identity. Together, we’ll work to build practical coping tools, deepen self-awareness, and strengthen your resilience. Whether you're navigating trauma, gender or sexual identity, relationships, community, or simply trying to make sense of life’s challenges, my goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and celebrated. You deserve a life that feels aligned, empowered, and unapologetically yours.
I’ve spent the past 8 years using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support children, teens, and adults in healing from trauma, anxiety, depression, and more. EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach that helps your nervous system release what it’s been holding onto — so you can move forward without carrying the full weight of the past. This work doesn’t have to look just one way. We can adapt EMDR to fit your needs, pace, and comfort — whether that means slowing things down, integrating it with talk therapy, or using creative tools that feel right for you. Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and together we’ll shape the process in a way that feels grounding, empowering, and truly yours.
For the past 8 years, I’ve supported clients using DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) — a practical, skills-based approach that helps you navigate the real-life challenges of stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and relationship struggles. DBT offers accessible tools you can start using right away, empowering you to cope more effectively, set boundaries, and respond to life with more ease and self-compassion. I integrate DBT with other approaches (like EMDR and parts work), tailoring it to meet both your immediate needs and long-term goals. Whether you’re trying to get through the day or make deeper shifts in your patterns, we’ll build a toolbox that honors your lived experience and helps you feel more grounded, capable, and in control.
I also integrate Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) into my work — especially for clients who are exploring relationship patterns, attachment wounds, or the impact of past dynamics on how they show up today. IPT helps us examine the connections between your mental health and your relationships, whether that means healing from conflict, navigating grief or transitions, or learning how to show up more authentically with others. In a world that often tells queer people, women, and survivors to shrink themselves or stay silent, this work can be deeply liberating. Together, we’ll look at the ways your past relationships have shaped you — and begin rewriting those stories with intention, boundaries, and self-trust.
I also draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), a strengths-based approach that centers your existing wisdom and resilience. SFBT is especially helpful when you're feeling stuck and need support identifying small, meaningful steps forward — without having to rehash every detail of the past. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” we’ll explore what’s already working, amplify your strengths, and clarify your vision for the life you want. This approach can be especially empowering for queer folks, women, and anyone navigating systems that weren’t built with them in mind — because it helps you reclaim your voice, define your goals, and take action on your own terms.
I also offer Brainspotting — a powerful, brain-body based approach that helps access and process trauma, emotional pain, and deeply held experiences that may not always be reachable through talk therapy alone. Brainspotting allows us to gently tap into the body’s natural ability to heal by focusing on specific “brainspots” connected to where trauma is stored in the nervous system. This method can be especially transformative for queer and gender-expansive folks, women, and survivors of complex trauma who may have learned to disconnect from their bodies in order to survive. In our work together, you’ll be supported in moving through old wounds with care, curiosity, and agency — at a pace that feels safe and grounded. Your body holds deep wisdom, and Brainspotting helps us listen.
