I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of therapeutic settings, including schools, partial‑hospitalization programs, a child‑advocacy center, and a private practice focused on trauma and child‑centered play therapy. These experiences have allowed me to support children, teens, adults, and couples through many different seasons of life. Along with Play Therapy, my passion lies in Narrative Therapy—helping people uncover the stories that shape their lives and supporting them as they create new, preferred narratives that reflect their strengths, values, and hopes.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is relaxed and centered on connection. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, exploring what brings you to therapy, and beginning to understand what you’re hoping for. Depending on your comfort and interests, there may be space for conversation, creative activities, games, or simply noticing how we work together. My goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, seen, and able to show up as yourself.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am approachable, authentic, and flexible. I am deeply committed to viewing the world through the eyes of the person sitting across from me. I value curiosity, collaboration, and honoring the unique wisdom each client carries.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m especially drawn to working with clients who are open to exploring their challenges in creative and nuanced ways. I often incorporate storytelling, externalization, art, sandtray, play, and other expressive approaches to help people examine problems from new angles. My aim is to walk alongside you as you discover fresh perspectives, reconnect with your strengths, and develop skills that support the life you want to live.

My treatment methods

Narrative

Narrative Therapy recognizes the individual as the author and expert of their own lives. The person is not viewed as the problem; rather, the problematic stories they bring into therapy represent issues that can be externalized and re-authored. The therapist works with the client as a co-author to view the past stories and identify overlooked or misguided interpretations. The therapist then works with the client to build new and preferred stories to move forward with resilience and self-worth.

Faith based therapy

I have training and experience working with Christian clients and welcome the integration of faith into the therapeutic process when it feels meaningful to you. I am also open to exploring other spiritual or faith‑based perspectives to ensure therapy aligns with your beliefs, values, and worldview.

Play Therapy

For children, I use child‑centered play therapy to help them express experiences and emotions that may be difficult to articulate verbally. Through play, themes often emerge that offer insight into a child’s inner world, allowing us to gently explore challenges and support healing in developmentally appropriate ways.

Attachment-based

Our early relationships shape how we see ourselves and how we connect with others. I pay close attention to attachment patterns and the ways attachment wounds may influence your current relationships, sense of safety, and self‑perception. Together, we work toward building secure, supportive relational experiences—both within and outside the therapy room.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma can profoundly affect identity, worldview, and the nervous system. I approach therapy with an understanding of these impacts and a commitment to creating a safe, steady environment. We’ll work collaboratively to identify triggers, build coping strategies, and strengthen your capacity to navigate challenges with greater stability and self‑compassion.
