I am a mental health therapist who believes healing starts with feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. I strive to create a safe, welcoming space where people can show up exactly as they are-without judgement-and work toward meaningful change at their own pace. My approach is compassionate, client-centered and trauma informed, and I focus on helping people build up practical coping skills while also understanding the deeper experiences that shape their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Your first session with me is really about getting to know you -not judging you, not rushing you, and not expecting you to have everything figured out. Starting therapy can feel nerve-wracking, so I focus on creating a space where you can feel comfortable, safe, and respected from the beginning. We'll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you're hoping might change or improve, and any questions or concerns you have about the process. You can share as much or little as you feel ready to share. I may ask some background questions about your history, supports, stressors, and current challenges so I can better understand how to support you. Most importantly you can expect me to listen, to be honest and supportive, and to meet you where you are. You don't have to prepare anything special for the first session- just show up as yourself.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
In our sessions, I often use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you manage big emotions, quiet anxious thoughts, and practice healthier coping skills in your daily life. When working with couples, I use the Gottman Method to help partners communicate better, strengthen their bond, and rebuild trust when it’s been shaken. At the heart of my approach is compassion and collaboration. Therapy with me isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about walking alongside you as you discover your strengths, heal from what’s been holding you back, and create more peace in your life and relationships.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Above all, I believe therapy is about more than “fixing problems” — it’s about helping you uncover your strengths, create healthier patterns, and move toward the life and relationships you deserve. I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment, and walk alongside you as you work toward balance and healing.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is used to address the negative thinking that yields to negative emotions and behaviors. By addressing the self-talk and cognitive distortions we have more positive thinkning, emotions and behaviors.
Couples Counseling
I am an experienced clinician, and I approach couples counseling in an eclectic way drawing from Person centered, Gottman and EFT.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I use EFT techniques (tapping) to help with distressing emotions and stressors.
