New to Grow
I’m a licensed mental health therapist with over 30 years of experience working with people across many different walks of life—from serving as a house manager in a halfway house, to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, to spending more than a decade specializing in sexual trauma and related concerns. Along the way, one thing has stayed constant: I genuinely love learning, and I’m a proud therapy nerd. I stay up to date with current research and training because I believe you deserve care that’s both compassionate and evidence-based. My approach is integrative and deeply personalized. There is no “one-size-fits-all” in therapy—because there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all human. I don’t believe clients should have to fit into a rigid therapy model. Instead, therapy should adapt to you. Together, we’ll figure out what actually works for your nervous system, your life, and your goals. I work in a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth way. Some days that means building practical tools and coping strategies. Other days it means slowing things down, making sense of patterns, or helping your body and mind feel safer and more regulated. I blend proven, science-backed approaches with real-world understanding of how change actually happens. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, sleep issues, relationship stress, grief, or just feeling stuck, my goal is to help you feel more empowered, more grounded, and more like yourself again. You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to be “fixed” to deserve support.
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, supportive conversation focused on really getting to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. I take time to understand your background, what brings you to therapy, and how different parts of your life are going, like sleep, stress, health, relationships, and what you do to recharge. I don’t like to rush this process, because getting a full picture helps me tailor therapy to what will actually help you. You’ll also leave the first session with a few practical strategies you can start using right away to feel more grounded and supported.
My greatest strengths are combining experience, up-to-date training, and a very practical, results-focused approach to therapy. I’m always learning because my goal is to help clients reach their goals as efficiently as possible—while still moving at a pace that feels safe and right for them. I genuinely believe your life should be bigger than your therapy hour, and I want you out in the world living it, not stuck in treatment longer than necessary. I focus on strategies that actually work, and I regularly see meaningful reductions in anxiety and depression, supported by clinical assessments and real-life improvements. I bring warmth, clarity, and structure to sessions, along with a healthy dose of appropriate humor—because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time. Clients often appreciate that our work is both focused and human: serious about change, but grounded, encouraging, and realistic.
I work well with clients who want therapy that adapts to them, not the other way around, and who are ready to build skills for real-life change.
Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback works with the brain’s natural ability to learn and self-regulate. It can support improved focus, emotional balance, and nervous system regulation by helping the brain develop healthier patterns.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
CBT-I is a proven, non-medication approach to improving sleep. We focus on changing the thoughts, habits, and patterns that keep your brain stuck in “alert mode” so your body can relearn how to rest.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT helps you build practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress. I often use it to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier communication.
Grief Therapy
Grief shows up in many forms—after loss, trauma, or major life changes. I help clients gently process grief, make meaning of what they’ve been through, and find ways to move forward without forgetting what mattered.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma-informed care means everything we do is grounded in safety, choice, trust, and respect. I work at your pace, with your nervous system in mind, and never push beyond what feels manageable.
