About me

Who I Am I am a licensed therapist in Alabama with 9 years of professional experience. I specialize in supporting clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, healing from trauma and abuse, and navigating grief and loss. My approach is rooted in respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique needs. I believe it takes courage to pursue a more fulfilling and meaningful life, and I am here to walk alongside you—supporting and empowering you every step of the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other in a relaxed and supportive way. I’ll ask you about what brought you to therapy and what you’d like to work on, and you’ll have space to share at your own pace—there’s no pressure. Think of it as a conversation where we begin to build trust, set goals together, and create a plan that feels right for you. My goal is for you to leave our first meeting feeling heard, cared for, and hopeful about the journey ahead.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is my ability to create a safe, compassionate space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I combine evidence-based methods with a flexible, integrative style, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals. Clients often share that my warmth, patience, and practical strategies help them feel supported while also empowered to make real, lasting changes in their lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives but may feel overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, relational issues, or unhealthy coping patterns. My ideal clients are those who value a supportive and compassionate space where they can explore their struggles without judgment and learn practical tools for healing and growth. Whether you are seeking relief from past wounds, strength to face present challenges, or guidance in creating a healthier future, I work best with clients who are open to self-reflection and motivated to build a more balanced and fulfilling life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary treatment modality in my practice. Over time, I’ve found CBT to be highly effective across a wide range of client concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, anger management, and relationship challenges. What I value most about CBT is its structured, goal-oriented approach and its emphasis on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Couples Counseling

I have extensive experience providing couples counseling to partners seeking to improve communication, resolve conflict, strengthen trust, and foster healthier relational dynamics. I approach couples work with the understanding that relationships are systems—when one partner is in distress, it impacts the entire relationship. My role is to create a safe, balanced space where both voices are heard and where partners can practice new skills that enhance connection and intimacy.

Christian Counseling

In my practice, by request only: I integrate Christian counseling by combining evidence-based therapeutic approaches with faith-based principles for clients who desire it. I encourage the use of scripture, prayer, and spiritual reflection alongside practical tools for managing thoughts, emotions, and relationships. This approach allows clients to strengthen both their mental health and their spiritual walk, finding hope, healing, and direction that align with their values and faith.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have experience utilizing DBT to support clients struggling with intense emotions, impulsivity, relationship challenges, and difficulty with distress tolerance. In my practice, I use DBT by teaching clients practical skills across four core areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Sessions often focus on helping clients notice and accept their feelings without judgment, while also building strategies to respond in healthier, more balanced ways. I integrate DBT through structured skill-building exercises, role-play, and real-life practice assignments that encourage clients to apply what they’ve learned outside of session. Over time, clients report greater emotional stability, improved communication, and a stronger sense of control in their daily lives.

Integrative

In my practice, I use an integrative approach, which means I draw from a variety of evidence-based therapies—such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and person-centered methods—to best fit each client’s unique needs. This allows me to adapt our work together based on your goals, personality, and situation, creating a personalized path toward healing and growth. My focus is always on meeting you where you are and using the tools that will be most helpful for your journey.
