You will reach out to me because there is something in your life that isn't working well, or perhaps a problem has surfaced that you don't feel prepared to cope with. Perhaps you have a long-term concern that you finally want to come to terms with. Together we will identify your concerns and build on your strengths. We will work towards goals that are manageable and doable! It takes courage to change, and I salute you for taking this first step, or continuing on a journey that you may have already begun! Let's walk together for awhile. I graduated from The Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research Master's program. I will be glad to answer any questions that you have about my professional work and philosophy.
I will ask you to think about your goals for therapy and your expectations of therapy. We will put together a flexible goals plan together. I will always be respectful of you and straightforward with you!
I use an eclectic mix of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Gestalt, Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Hypnotherapy, and Relational. A few of my strengths in therapy include women's issues, grief, geriatrics, life transitions, obesity, stress, anxiety, and trauma.
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful adjunct to other therapies. I am licensed and a current member of ASCH.
