Hi there, I am Amy, Do you struggle with feeling stressed and want more peace in your life? Feel like anxiety or depression is stealing your joy? Feel stuck in a circumstance and need a way out? I will work with you to help you overcome and have victory over things that steal your peace and joy and keep you in a perpetual loop of emotional distress. I will provide a supportive and safe space for you to be heard and validated. Together we will find a therapeutic approach that works best for you. I use several different therapy techniques that will help you identify the root of the issue and then equip you with strategies and skills to make the changes you desire. Therapy can bring up a lot of different thoughts and emotions. I am here to offer you compassion and validation throughout the therapeutic process to help ease any stress you may be feeling. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our first session I will get to know you. I will gather information about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. These sessions are all for you and I want to make sure you are getting what you need. I will provide recommendations and guidance along the way as I want to make sure you are well equipped and empowered to make the changes you desire.
The treatment methods and tools I utilize
I use an array of therapeutic approaches including but not limited to , Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Informed, and Solution Focused as well as several other evidenced-based therapies and techniques.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients have shared when working with me they have felt heard and validated for the first time in their lives. They feel that someone finally gets what they are going through and have been given the tools and strategies to really make a difference in their lives . They like the balance of our sessions in being able talk and share and then being empowered and challenged. They like that I give them work to do as they know this is how change will happen. They feel supported throughout the whole therapeutic process.
