Hello and welcome! My name is Cristina. I specialize in treating trauma and have used evidenced based modalities, such as EMDR to treat trauma related symptoms. I am in the process of obtaining my perinatal mental health certification through PSI (Postpartum Support International). I approach mental health as holistically as possible, exploring components of the mind, body and spirit to address healing. I like to work with you collaboratively to create goals and explore which areas of healing are necessary for you. I take a client-based approach and aim to make the space feel safe and a place where you feel comfortable to open up and share. We all deserve to feel seen and heard, and I hope that is your experience with me! I look forward to meeting you!
Our initial session is a collaborative intake where we focus on getting to know you—your story, current concerns, and hopes for therapy. We’ll explore your history, identify what’s been most challenging, and discuss what you’d like to achieve. Together, we’ll begin shaping goals that guide our work moving forward. This session may feel a bit different from future ones because it’s more about gathering information and understanding your needs, but it also sets the foundation for a supportive and effective therapeutic relationship.
I have a real passion for supporting people through their moments of vulnerability and exploration of their pain and what they feel is holding them back. Healing can look very different for everyone, and I always feel so honored in being a part of the journey.
I work with individuals navigating the emotional ups and downs of pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood—including anxiety, depression, birth trauma, and the grief that can come with loss or infertility. I also support clients who are ready to heal from trauma or PTSD through EMDR therapy. My ideal clients are looking for a warm, collaborative space where they can process painful experiences, build effective coping tools, and reconnect with a sense of strength and balance. Together, we’ll work toward easing distress, fostering resilience, and helping you feel more grounded and confident as you move forward.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is an evidence-based approach designed to help people heal from the emotional distress associated with traumatic or overwhelming life experiences. In EMDR, we work together to target memories, images, or sensations that continue to cause distress, using structured bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to support the brain’s natural ability to reprocess information. This helps reduce the emotional charge of painful events while fostering new, adaptive beliefs about yourself and the world. EMDR can be effective for trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, and other concerns, allowing you to move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and calm.
Supportive therapy focuses on helping you feel understood while fostering resilience, self-compassion, and practical tools for managing life’s stressors. Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, grief, or relationship changes, I meet you where you are and tailor sessions to your needs—honoring your strengths while gently guiding you toward growth, balance, and emotional well-being.
An attachment-informed approach to help you explore patterns in relationships, understand how early experiences may influence current connections, and strengthen your capacity for secure, healthy bonds. Together, we’ll identify ways attachment dynamics show up in your life, process challenging emotions, and build strategies for more satisfying relationships—with yourself and others. This approach is especially helpful for navigating relational stress, intimacy challenges, and the emotional impact of past trauma.

Cristina really understand our couples situation, and both our personal needs. She understands where we are both coming from, in hearing that when we talk to each other, we are not really hearing each other, in the way we attend it to be. Cristina is giving us good communications skills to work on.

Cristina is passionate about her work and is very knowledgeable about it. She put in a lot of effort to help me feel comfortable and safe enough to try something as intimidating as EMDR. Even when I wanted to give up at times, Cristina didn't give up on me. It felt like for once in my life, I've found support to push forward.
