New to Grow
Hi, I'm Jackie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who truly cares about the people I work with. I feel deeply honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate their mental health journeys. Therapy for me is more than just a career--it's something I'm genuinely passionate about and called to do. I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and truly heard, and it's a privilege to hold space for your experiences, challenges, and growth.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once--this is simply a starting point. I'll ask some questions, listen closely, and make sure you feel comfortable moving at a pace that feel right for you. We'll also talk about what you're hoping for from therapy and how we might work together going forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is the depth of experience I bring to my work. I have over 20 years of experience supporting adults who are struggling with depression, trauma, and major life transitions, or who feel stuck and unsure about their next steps. I work carefully and at your pace, helping you feel comfortable enough to talk about difficult or painful experiences when and if you're ready. I help clients identify and move through mental blocks and negative thought patterns that may be holding them back, while building self-confidence and a stronger sense of self. My goal is to support you in gaining clarity, resilience, and the tools you need to move forward and create a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with who you truly are.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Whether you're struggling with depression, trauma, life changes, or just feeling stuck, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can take a breath and explore what you're experiencing. Our work together is centered on you--your pace, your goals, and what feels true for you. I truly believe you already have strength within you, even if it doesn't feel that way right now. My role is to walk alongside you and help you reconnect with it. When you're ready to take that first step, I would be honored to meet you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a collaborative and supportive way, helping clients explore how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected in their everyday lives. Together, we gently identify unhelpful thought patterns and work on practical, realistic strategies to help clients feel more empowered, improve emotional well-being, and make meaningful changes at their own pace.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients make sense of how traumatic experiences have affected the way they see themselves, others, and the world. In a supportive and collaborative way, we work through "stuck points," gently challenging beliefs that keep them feeling overwhelmed or unsafe, so they can move toward healing, self-compassion, and a greater sense of control in their lives.
Interpersonal
When I use Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) for depression, I help clients look at how what's happening in their relationships and life transitions is affecting their mood. We focus on improving communication, working through losses or changes, and building stronger, more supportive connections so they don't feel so alone.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
When I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, I help clients focus on what's already working and what they want to be different, rather than spending all our time on the problem. We build on their strengths, small successes, and practical next steps so they can feel hopeful, capable, and move forward in a way that fits their life.
