Hello! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with extensive experience helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I utilize evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), I guide clients on a journey of healing, personal growth, and transformation, empowering them to lead more fulfilling and balanced lives.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where I will take the time to listen to your concerns and understand your unique challenges. We will discuss your goals for therapy and begin to explore the issues that brought you here. I’ll guide you through the process with empathy and respect, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions about the therapy process. Together, we’ll develop a plan to address your needs and work towards positive change. My goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and confident as we start this journey together.
What makes me unique as a therapist is my diverse experience, commitment to evidence-based practices, and culturally sensitive approach. Having worked with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, and families from various cultural backgrounds, I understand the importance of recognizing and respecting each individual’s unique cultural context. I integrate this understanding into my work, ensuring that therapy is tailored to meet the specific needs of my clients while honoring their cultural values and beliefs. This combination of cultural sensitivity, experience, and passion for empowering clients helps me create a safe, effective space for real, lasting transformation.
I’m best positioned to support people who are looking for feeling like they are stuck, overwhelmed or unsure about their next steps. I can help those who are seeking clarity, direction and practical insight. That can include individuals navigating stress, life transitions, decision making challenges, or complex emotions they want to better understand. I’m also a good fit for people who appreciate a balance of thoughtful exploration and actionable guidance. That means not just talking through feelings, but also identifying patterns, reframing unhelpful thoughts, and developing concrete strategies they can apply in daily life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and reframe negative thought patterns that contribute to emotional and behavioral issues. Through CBT, I work with clients to challenge maladaptive thinking, develop healthier coping strategies, and modify behaviors that reinforce distressing emotions. This approach is central to my work with individuals, particularly in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms.
Trauma-Focused CBT
In my practice, I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) to help clients, particularly those who have experienced trauma, process their emotional responses and alter maladaptive thoughts related to their traumatic experiences. TFCBT combines traditional CBT techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions, helping clients confront distressing memories, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and rebuild a sense of safety and control.
