New to Grow
I’m a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals find healing, clarity, and confidence in their lives. I provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. My goal is to help you uncover your strengths, develop practical coping skills, gain new perspective, and create lasting change that fosters emotional well-being, resilience, and a greater sense of peace and fulfillment.
In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other and building a foundation of trust. You’ll have the opportunity to share your concerns, experiences, and goals, and I’ll ask questions to better understand your unique needs. Together, we’ll discuss what you hope to achieve in therapy and begin exploring strategies to support your emotional growth and well-being. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the first steps toward meaningful change.
What sets my approach apart is that it’s compassionate, supportive, and tailored to your unique experiences. I focus on helping you feel truly heard and understood while guiding you to uncover your strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create positive, lasting change. Together, we work as partners to help you navigate challenges and build a greater sense of confidence, balance, and well-being.
I work best with individuals who are ready to explore their thoughts and emotions, gain clarity, and make meaningful changes in their lives. My ideal clients may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions, and are looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space to process their experiences. They are motivated to uncover their strengths, develop coping skills, and build lasting emotional resilience.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced thoughts. I also incorporate coping skills and behavioral strategies to reduce anxiety and improve daily functioning, while maintaining a supportive, trauma-informed approach.
I use Christian counseling to help clients integrate their faith with the therapeutic process. I draw on biblical principles alongside evidence-based approaches to support healing, growth, and spiritual renewal. In sessions, I encourage prayer, scripture reflection, and faith-based coping strategies while addressing emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. This approach allows clients to find hope, purpose, and strength through their relationship with God as they work toward emotional and spiritual well-being.
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their ambivalence and strengthen their motivation for change. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and affirmation, I create a nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and empowered to identify their own reasons for growth. I use MI to enhance engagement, build confidence, and support behavior change in areas such as anxiety management, coping skills, and life transitions, always moving at the client’s pace and respecting their autonomy.
I use a strengths-based approach to help clients recognize and build on their existing abilities, resilience, and resources. Rather than focusing solely on problems, I highlight what is already working well and how those strengths can be applied to overcome current challenges. In sessions, I encourage clients to identify past successes, inner qualities, and support systems that promote confidence and hope. This approach empowers clients to see themselves as capable and resourceful, fostering motivation and long-term growth.
